Chewy dried apricots, succulent dates, and tangy cranberries give these energy balls their satisfying bite. But their nutritious power doesn’t stop at their fruity base—it’s also boosted by our power-packed 13 Seeds Hemp Hearts and Protein Powder, along with sesame and chia seeds. These tangy truffles are finished off with ginger, cinnamon, and lemon zest for a flavourful punch. Easy to make and surprisingly satisfying, these energy balls make a perfect snack for kids and adults alike. Grab two in the morning in your way out the door, or munch on one post-workout for a delicious energy boost!
Ingredients:
1 cup dried apricots
10 large dates, pits removed
½ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup 13 Seeds Hemp Hearts
¼ cup sesame seeds
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoons 13 Seeds Hemp Protein Powder
desiccated coconut, for coating
Method:
1. Put all ingredients except the coconut into a food processor and process until the dried fruit and seeds are finely ground and the mixture has formed a ball.
2. Roll into little balls about the size of a walnut.
3. Put the coconut into a bowl and roll each ball in the coconut to coat.
4. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to a week.
