Lemon Turmeric Shortbread
Ingredients:

1 cup plain flour

½ cup unsalted butter (room temp)

¼ cup icing sugar

Zest of 1 lemon

½ tsp turmeric powder
-
Pinch of black pepper

Pinch of salt
Method:

Preheat oven to 160°C.

Cream butter and icing sugar together until smooth.

Stir in lemon zest, turmeric, pepper, and salt.

Add flour and mix into a soft dough.

Roll out to 1cm thickness and cut using bunny or egg-shaped cutters.

Place on lined tray and bake for 12–15 mins or until edges are lightly golden.

Cool and dust with extra icing sugar (optional).
