When getting into the swing of the holiday season, make sure you include these in your meals and snacks:
  • Whole fruit- Fruits provide antioxidants and fiber Clementine’s, tangerines, and cranberries provide vitamin C and immune support.
  • A variety of colourful vegetables - Five a day is the rule of thumb. Brussel sprouts are a good source of vitamin C and fibre.  Carrots provide beta carotene and help our immune system.   Use nutmeg and cinnamon in their preparation to keep them flavourful.

  • Fish - Salmon is a great choice as it is rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Beans or Tofu

Keep the sugar at a minimum.  Not only can it impair your XXX system, but it can ruin your skin.  Get your fill of protein and vegetables before heading to the dessert table.
