Get Ready for BBQ Season with Grilled Falafel Pita Wraps 

There’s something satisfyingly primal about cooking over flames and now you can have a healthy plant-based alternative when friends and family come over for a summer barbecue.  Feel good knowing the 13 Seeds products are 100% natural vegan products, with plant protein and fibre.

Ingredients:

2 cups of 13 Seeds Hemp Falafel mix (available in Spicy, Lemon Pepper or Original flavour)

1 cup of warm water

¼ tsp baking powder

Method:

To prepare the falafels, mix two cups of our Hemp Falafel with one and a half cups of warm water and a quarter of a teaspoon of baking powder. Allow to sit for 20-30 minutes and then roll into small walnut-sized balls. Spray with vegetable oil and heat balls on the grill until a light golden colour.

Meanwhile, combine shaved cucumber with diced red capsicum and season. Cook pitas for one minute on each side, open and fill with a few falafel balls, the vegetable mix and top with natural yoghurt and coriander.
